please please help.

Hi. Could you please help me as i am in the process of getting back with my long term lover.
thank you and am worried i might giver her an sti.

Two months ago i had unprotected sex twice with the same girl on the same night. i live in the uk and went and got tested. Tests all came back neative. what i was tested for i dont know but i was told that they done all i needed. should i be tested for anything else now, like hiv, heppatitis etc etc.

Also two weeks ago i had protected sex with a sex worker in the uk, both protected oral and sex. what is worrying me is this, i licked her anus for a maximum of ten seconds. Am i at risk of anything from either of these exposures and should i be checked again for anything.

Please advice, thank you doctor.

Your risk from any of the exposures you describe is very low but strange things happen.  To summarize, two weeks ago you had protected sex with a sex worker in the UK during which you briefly licked her anus and you had unprotected sex twice with a woman two months ago.  I didn't follow your comment about the events in Turkey.  Was this a vaccine injection?

Even with several partners in the past year, although your risk is VERY low, it might be advisable to get an HIV test, not because of any specific risk but as a matter of doing what should be done periodically as part of your own care for yourself (this is something we recommend routinely for all who have multiple sex partners).  As far as hepatitis A, if you had acquired it it is more likely than not that you would have gotten sick from it.  There is no harm from getting a hepatitis a test but  no compelling reason for it either.

As for bacterial STDS, as you point out, nothing to worry about.  Overall your risk of having anything at all from the exposures you describe is very low.  Hope this helps.  EWH

Hi doctor, thanks for the advice, i went to turkey on holidays and was vaccinated, i think it was for hep A.

if i did have hep A do you think i would have symptons by now.
and also from the sexual acts like i describe what stds could i possibly get tho i do know it is very low risk.

thanks

Many but not all hepatitis A infections cause symptoms.  These may include muscle aches, fever, nausea or jaundice.  EWH
