STD?

Hi Doc,

From what i've read on here it seems that symptons of
Chlam are usually 7 day mark,  for Gono from 2 to 5 days.
I had very brief (15sec.) vaginal intercourse (no protection) she's married.
No symptoms until 4 weeks had passed. I had been working out
quite vigirously, 70 minutes on machines and 45 minutes with weights. Later that night
I noticed my right testicle to be "achey", not incredibly painful but "achey". No discharge
but more frequent need to urinate. This lasted a few days, much more noticable whlie laying on
my back. I masterbated, 3 days after inital feeling of "achiness", had no problem ejaculating and did not
experience any discomfort. However a few hours after this I was getting out of my car and felt an eruption/discharge.
After looking at my underwear I could see 2 large white spots had dried. I thougt  this was just
left over from the masterbation,  didn't know what to make of it. I got worried not knowing what caused it.
I started to flush my system drinking large amounts of cranberry juice, water etc...of course the frequency to urinate skyrocketed. Inspected my underwear the following morning (did not drink anything for 7 hours) and found
no stains. There are times when the very tip of the penis seems irritated, no burning sensation at all while urinating though. Not sure if the tip discomfort is just in my head or not. I have read in one of these posts before that,
while it is rare, it is not unheard of while exercising and straining your urine can reverse and cause a bacterial infection.  I have talked to the couple and have been assured she has no issues.

What is your opinon on:
1: the exercise theory (I did have to urinate quite badly but waited until i completed the workout).
2: Chlam/ Gono....no signs until 4 weeks? And then just the 1 instance of the spotting
I am scheduled to see my Primary for testing.

thanks for your help, I appreciate it.

Straight to your questions:

1.  I really can't say whether or not your exercise regimen or some other reason caused the ache in your testicles. it is reasonable to think that they might and, perhaps even more important, there is no reason to think that this is related to an STD.  It would be unusual for you to have gotten an STD from the exposure you describe, all things considered, and most uncommon for you to not develop symptoms far sooner than at 4 weeks.   This really does not sound like an STD at all.
2.  My guess is that you have already accounted for the spotting. It is not uncommon to have a small amount of residual ejaculate which is then expressed at a somewhat later time following masturbation.  In contrast, as mentioned above, it would be very, very unusual for an STD to present this way.

My advice to you is to not be concerned.  There is not really anything here to suggest you have an STD.  EWH

No need for you to have repeat testing.  Your partner was low risk and tests for HIV have steadily gotten better and better. You can be confident, based o nthe result of your 6 week test that you did not be HIV through this contact either.  EWH

Hi Doc,

Of course after reading your response I just HAD to search the forum for other things (foolish, foolish boy). Wish like hell I hadn't...but....anyway I did..so.
I got quite worried about HIV symptoms and what I was feeling (I feel like an idiot even typing that)...long story short, I waited until 43 day's and got the rapid blood/finger ***** test. It was negative...Should I test again @ 8 weeks or grow up and get on with life.
Sorry this in on this forum but it was a follow up to original question, if it's deleted I'll glady pay again and be done with it..

thanks..
