gonorrhea treatment

I will apologize if i am repeating an old topic, but i am new to it !!

I self diagnosed myself with gonorrhea about 6 months ago whilst in a remote area of Asia (hence i did not see a local GP) and took two grams of Zithromax as a self treatment (no perscription of course).. Well, after that the infection cleared and has remained dormant until now.... only this time it is my current sexual partner, being a female, who is now seemingly infected also with symptoms related to STI's and specifically gonorrhea...

So my question for now, as we will promptly be getting tested, is it probable that i never killed the infection ? has it remained with me and now sadly i have passed that on.... shouldn't the drugs have killed the infection ?

Also, if i have never actually killed the infection, why havent i felt any symptoms or any notability that it even exist in me ?

once again i apologize if this is a repeat and i will thank you for sharp and honest feedback..

regards

Thankyou for your answers.... her infection most likely will not be gono but perhaps another type of STI ?? What could cause the symptoms in her but remain invisible in me ?

Hi, if you dont have any urethra irritation or white puss discharge then you dont have gono. These are the symptoms and its extremely rare that men do not have these symtpoms. Its a nasty bacteria that causes open sores inside the urethra.
