herpes, hiv or yeast infection? any idea

About 2 weeks ago I had unprotected oral sex with someone I don't know. 2 days later I began experiencing severe pain during urination. 4 days after the sex I took a urine test for chlamydia/gonorrhea which returned negative. The pain increased pretty much to being all the time. I started having alot of anxiety and could not sleep because of chills (I had no fever so this may have been anxiety, i dont know). 7 days after the unprotected sex I had 2 small spots appear on my penis near the opening. Very small spots but the pain felt like it was coming from there. Dr. said  it didnt look like herpes, he said it looked more like "papules". Got blood test for herpes and sent me home. Later I went to a walk-in clinic. The Dr. said it did not look like herpes but prescribed me 4 500mg pills of Famvir anyway,  I took the pills and the pain and general lousy feeling dissipated over the next few days. The spots seem to have popped and gone mostly away. My blood tests (igm/igg) were negative.

However I still have alot of pain in my groin area. It feels like swollen glands. Also the glands under my chin are painful and swollen and Ive been having some intermittent pain under my arms.

Additionally before any of this I was prescribed a months worth of doxycycline and then the week of the incident i was taking a z-pack (azithromycin). My dad said he thought maybe i just had a male yeast infection from all the antibiotics

My questions - Is it likely I have herpes? I heard its not very common to catch it from oral sex, but possible.  Is it likely I  have HIV? A friend told me swollen glands in many places is a common early symptom of it, but I also heard its almost impossible to get HIV from oral sex. Is it possibly a yeast infection from too much antibiotics?

Are these tests accurate? Next week will be 3 weeks since the oral sex and I really want to know if I should bother getting retested, the doctor wont order it since ive already been tested and its very expensive.

I had read the igm test was completely inaccurate and the igg test is not accurate until 12 weeks have passed. This is not true? Many sites about herpes say this.

The IgM is worthless.

As far as the type specific IgG test, as I said, about half of tests are positive at 3 weeks but it is not until 3-4 months that a negative test is considereed definitive.  Antibodies develop over time. EWH

Let's try to address what might be going on here.  You had a single unprotected sexual encounter and about 4 days later you experienced pain during urination.  these are symptoms of what we call urethritis which is the general term for infection of the penis.  Urethritis can be caused by gonorrhea, chlamydia or other bacteria (this latter form is called non-chlamydial nongonococcal urethritis (NGU).  Chlamydia is not spread by oral sex.  Your tests for gonorrhea and chlamydia were negative but you still could have had non-chlamydial NGU.  the treatment for that is azithromycin which you have been taking and this treatment is highly effective.

What you describe does not suggest herpes in any way, nor HIV.  You may have swollen glands but if you do, this is a non-specific finding and could be due to just about anything including NGU.  The papules you noticed are likely to be normal structures or at worst some transient, non-STD rash.  In many persons we find swollen glands (lymph nodes) which are unrelated to any acute problem.
In answer to your specific questions:

1.  People who take antibiotics can get yeast infections but your symptoms do not suggest this.
2.  You do not have HIV.
3.  The tests are VERY accurate
4.  If you had an STD, which is improbable, the azithromycin would have cured it.  You do not need repeat STD testing.

Hope this helps.  EWH
