Welcome to our Forum. Before answering your question, I took a minute to look at the response you received from the HSV Community site and agree with the comments that they made. Newly acquired herpes typically appears 4-14 day as after exposure but when it does, most typically the lesions are discrete and have clusters of small blister-like lesions. The fact that your lesions have not evolved to blisters or ulcers again makes this unlikely. What you describe does sound like it could be a fungal infection and in some cases fungal infections may take a few days to begin to improve. On the other hand, HSV lesions can be quite varied in their appearance. If your lesions have not yet begun to improve, getting a PCR test for HSV is reasonable although I think the probability that this is HSV is low.
Balanitis is rarely associated with chlamydia or gonorrhea. From what you describe, as well as the fact that gonorrhea is rare and chlamydia rarer still following oral sex, I would not worry that these lesions were gonorrhea or chlamydial infection. EWH
