You did not need to start a new question for your clarification. Your additional question was deleted and answered here.
If the condom ripped this risk is still low. While there are no scientific figures for risk of HIV exposure from sex with a person who has undergone sex change surgery, the figure for vaginal infection is just one infection per 1000 sex acts and for rectal sex is 1 infection per 100 exposures. I would estimate your risk to be somewhere in between and certainly less than 1% IF she was infected and it is unlikely that she had HIV. This ends this thread. EWH
You have posted this question on the wrong site. HIV question must go to the HIV Prevention Forum. I will try to briefly answer your question. If you have additional HIV questions, you must start a new thread on the HIV site. Sorry, those are the rules.
Condom protected sex is safe sex If you used condoms during your sex with this person and they did not break (and you would know if they did. When condoms fail they break wide open) then even if your partner had HIV you would be protected. You may wish to get an HIV test at this time to help calm yourself and relieve your anxiety. A negative test at this time, as I am confident yours will be) will re-inforce what I have just said. When you get your negative test, given your situation, you can be confident that you did not get HIV.
