Risks for STDs and HIV

Good Evening Dr,

I admire your work in this forum. I'm sure it helped so many people that were despered and depressed.

I have a very short question that I need a conclusion about.

From time to time, I meet a prostitute and I receive a hand job ( she masturbates me ) with a lubricant and that's it, sometimes I tend to touch her body including the ***** but only externally and kiss the breast. I've done it twice and I had the conclusion that it's a totally safe activity until today; I went to my GP for regular check up and we chatted about it and he freaked me out by telling that this kind of exposure is considered risky and you shouldn't do it again and get tested. I'm really getting confused and anxious.

Does my exposure carry any kind of risk toward aquiring HIV or any other STD ? and do I need testing ?

Please Dr. help me on this, I'm so eager to read your response.

Regards

I would not worry about this.  Your exposure was no risk.  I suspect what you are seeing are normal genital secretions which you are. Now more aware of because do your concern.  EWH

Good evening Dr.hook,
I couldn't help but ask about this little thing, today I felt some wettness in my pants , I noticed like a discharge exactly like the precum which made me worry and I should mention that yesterday I felt some discomfort feeling in the pupic area above the penis.  What do u think Dr.hook, I really appreciate it.

Welcome to the Forum.  Your GP is incorrect.  There is no meaningful risk for STDs, including HIV from receipt of masturbation, from kissing or from your touching or masturbating a partner.  While some might argue that there is a theoretical risk that IF your partner had a syphilis or herpes sore on her had she could transmit it to you in this way, in our combined over 70 years of STD and HIV-focused practice we have never seen or heard of such a case and therefor consider each of the activities as NO RISK.  There is no reason for concern and no reason to seek testing.

I hope this comment clarifies things for you and is helpful. EWH
