On the 1st nigh Husband and wife have sex

on the 2nd night wife was passing blood through urine.

Came home on the 3rd. She visited here doctor who prescribed some homeopathy. After she did a urines test at LAB-A. Test results show that there was a urinary tract infection.

She starts her treatment. Doctor diagnosis as urinary tract infection

[some time between this day and the the 23rd day Husband, unknown to his wife, and after a 6 month interval, he has protected anal and vaginal sex with a sex worker and receives unprotected oral sex. He has done this over 6months ago prior to that.  This happens twice in this gap]

On the 12th day she does another test at Lab-B.  Test results show that there was a urinary tract infection.

On the 23rd Husband and wife have unprotected sex. He does not climax inside here

On the morning the husband wake to finds he has conjunctivitis and a read rash in the head of his penis. He visits the Doctor who assure him that it is not a STD. The doctor treats the conjunctivitis and thinks that the rash is an allergy .

On the evening of the 23rd wife feel her urine infection has gotten worse and takes another test.  Urinary tract infection is still there.

The husband reads about the connection between conjunctivitis and STD and takes the following medicine on Day 24 takes 1g Azithroymycin and 400 mg Cefixime. Wife gives up on the homeopathy and starts Ciprofloxacin.

Hope you are with me.

1. Husband is worried that he has HIV?
2. Did the Husband have any other STD? Would his medication clear that up
3. Does the wife have an STD? will her medication clear it up?

PS can we not post this on the forum

Nealry all conjunctivitis is viral and there is a well described viral syndrome in which a virus (adenovirus) causes conjunctivitis and penile irritation.

You second question is already answered above - gonorrhea and NGU.  Nothing else unless she has a sore on her o mouth. EWH

In the couple describe, the wife has a urinary tract infection which need antibiotic therapy, not homeopathy.

The husband's risk for STDs is low and the treatment he recieved would cure most STDs if present.  His conjunctivitis is more likely to be viral in origin.  the viral infections which cause conjunctivitis can also cause penile irritation- this is not an STD. Finally, if the husband is concerned about HIV, he should be tested as this is the only way to rule out HIV.   At the same time, his risk for HIV, based on the history provided is virtually zero.  HIV is not spread in condom protected sex or by unprotected oral sex.  EWH
