Good grief. I'm still skeptical about the diagnosis of genital warts, since you don't say who made it and how. Certainly no knowledgeable professional advised you to soak your penis in vinegar as a cure for warts. It will have no effect on warts, but it's a good way to damage the skin of your penis. Stop doing it and see a health professional. Genital warts can be properly treated only with the professional guidance of a health care provider, usually by freezing, cautery, or treatments that requrie prescription.
Most people have "pea sized" lymph nodes that can be felt in the groin; it has nothing to do with HPV.
That's all for this thread.
Oh yes I also forgot to ask , I was using apple cider vinegar as a treatment and I have started to notice all sorts of bumps develope in areas where the warts never were. I am wondering if maybe the small bumps are just from eritation from the vinegar or more warts, I believe there is to many of them to be warts and they are way to small to be warts. I pretty much wrapped the entire shaft of my penis with cotton balls soaked in the vinegar and also now my skin turned black, and scabed in places where there was not any bump present, as a matter of fact it is scabing in spots all the way around the shaft. Do you think the apple cider thing is not the best remedy ?
Hey dr, I just wanted to let you know that it has turned out to be genital warts unfortunatly, I was just wondering if sore lymph nodes in the groin could be a symptom from the hpv ?? I have developed a pea sized ball near my groin area, you can only feel it ( can not see ) and it is sore to touch. I can feel the same ball on the other side but it is not sore like the one on the right side. Thank you for your time and help !!
Welcome back to the forum. But the main STD-related health problem you have appears to be your heightened anxiety about it. I guess there's a lot of that going around; that was my main message to the question immediately before yours.
I cannot say whether or not you have genital warts. The opinion of an experienced STD clinician has to be taken seriously. On the other hand, it sounds like he was uncertain about it And I'm also not certain about his knowledge level. For example, it is unusual to treat penile bumps for warts unless and until the diagnosis is certain. And it is wrong to imply that hand warts can be transmitted to the genitals by masturbation; that doesn't happen.
As for the burning and discomfort of the penile skin and anus, no STD is a likely cause of such symptoms. If there is no visible rash, then perhaps it's nothing more than anxiety making you aware of otherwise minor body sensations that otherwise wouldn't be bothersome and might not even be noticed.
All things considered, I very much doubt you have genital warts, and amost certainly you have no other STD either and nothing related to your commercial sex encounter a few weeks ago (unless anxiety due to that event). But if you remain convinced that something is abnormal, you need another medical opinion. You might return to the STD clinic and ask to see a more senior clinician, such as the clinic doctor; or see a dermatologist.
Finally, please note the MedHelp rule about a maximum of 2 questions every 6 months on the professionally moderated forums (see Terms and Conditions). We can't accept another one from you before next January.
