possible yeast infection, uti, std?

Hi Doctor I don't know if you can see my other post on the HIV expert forum but I've been noticing on the head of my penis (I am uncircumsized) when I retract the foreskin to wash it sometimes looks red like if it were irritated and sometimes not always I have noticed this milky white liquid. I've noticed this since the exposure described in my other post. I've also noticed a thin white coating on my tongue which after doing some research online I believe it is geographic tongue although I am scared it could be yeast. I did a urine test for chlamydia and gonorrhea but it came back negative I don't know if to do another one or can this possibly be a yeast infection or some other UTI? I aslo wanted to know if a Complete Blood Count (CBC) or urinalysis tests for HIV? Also can HIV be transmitted through discharge? Thanks

No, CBC does not test for HIV.

If your new doctor requests urinalysis, CBC, or any other lab tests, follow his or her advice.  Otherwise I recommend you not get those tests or any other.

That's definitely all for this thread until you report the result of professional evaluation and testing.  I will delete any other comments without reply.

Welcome to the STD forum.

I looked at your previous thread with Dr. Hook on the HIV forum as well as your exchanges on the STD community forum.  You could not have acquired an STD from the contact you described in the HIV forum, so if you have had no other sexual exposures, an STD is pretty much impossible as an explanation for your symptoms.  Uncircumcised men often get inflammation under the foreskin, called nonspecific balanitis.  Yeast or other fungi also can do this. UTI does not, and UTIs are very rare in men under age 40-50.

Geographic tongue is normal in everybody from time to time, typically due to minor viral infections, changes in diet, and other inconsequential things.

I gather you are trying to diagnose yourself by getting tested through labs, i.e. without professional medical evaluation -- since you don't mention it.  Forums like this are not a substitute for personal health care.  I recommend against any testing for anything until and unless you see a health professional for personal evaluation, and then follow that person's advice about possible explanations for your symptoms and recommended lab tests.

HIV remains irrelevant.  Did you ever get tested for it?  If not, do it now.  Until you have done that, and have had professional evaluation for your current symptoms, I will have no further comments or advice.

Good luck--  HHH, MD
