hi i was diagnosed with HSVII and Hpv within 3 months of each other.  never had symtoms with the hpv just an abnormal pap.  my inguinal lymph nodes have been swollen for about 4 months now and my gynecologist feels it is in response to the hsv 2 infection.  she has said to wait a bit longer to see if it clears up but i am still scared of what it is.  I have been tested for hiv and it has been negative.  she put me on a daily dose of valtrex and i took it for about 3 weeks straight but did not like the dizzy side effects with taking it so i stopped.   the other symptom i am experiencing is foul smelling urine.  i really dont know what is going on but i am sick of feeling like **** with this..  this is all from an unfaithful partner of 10 years... is this herpes related???

and HIV would make the rest of your lymph nodes bigger in your body and not just one area

Many people have slightly swollen lymph nodes for unknown reasons.  If they are tender or are increasing in size, this is somewhat more suggestive of some sort of active problem.  It would be most unusual for genital herpes to cause several continuous months of swollen inquinal lymph nodes, particularly if you took Valtrex over  a thee week period.  

Foul smelling urine is not consistent with herpes infection.
