testing

9 weeks ago received protected oral sex from a male. I am male. There was mutual masterbation and we did finger each others anus. Thats all I did to him. Did not give him oral. At 11 days I was tested for bacterial std's all were  negative. At 4 weeks was tested with type specfic test for HSV2 it was negative. I am positive for HSV1 from childhood I guess. Tested again at 8 weeks for HSV2 and still negative.  No herpes symptoms at all. Do I need to test anymore for HSV2 or should I just forget about this and move on. I have read some of your answers and you state no chance of getting genital HSV2 from receiving oral. Also is it safe to have sex with my wife.

You have nothing to worry about and can move forward in confidence that you do not have an STD of any sort, including HSV-2.

First of all, the nature of your exposure was no risk for STDs.  Mutual masturbation is safe  sex.

Second, if you were going to develop herpes, lesions/symptoms would be expected to appear within 10 days of your exposure.

Third, your oral sex, which would, for all practical purposes only put you at risk for HSV-1 since HSV-2 almost never infects the mouth, was protected.

Fourth, you already have HSV-1, a fact which protects you from further infection with HSV-1 and, due to partial cross-immunity, reduces your risk for getting HSV-2, not that you were exposed.

Putting all of this together and strengthened by your test results (I would say the same thing even if you had not been tested), your likelihood of infection is zero, you do not need further testing and you have no reason not to have normal sexual relations with your wife.

Take Care.  EWH

Its not a soreness in the rib cage but just some samll sores on each side. I am not concerned about HIV, I was just wondering if there is a chance of HSV or any std from someone sucking your nipple.

The soreness of your rib cage is not related to HIV.

His sucking your nipple does not change my opinion.  EWH

In the past few days I am starting to get some sore on both sides of my rib cage, do you have any idea what they could be. They are small dont see any blisters but seem to have a scab on them
