worried

i had protected sex with a professional on a drinking filled bachelor party weekend.  after i got home 1-2 days after i started to feel sick, somewhat tired, no fever but headache, and sweat at night (however my room is very hot). i got tested this past week 100hrs after my incident, but am paranoid and can barely eat and stay focusws b/c of the stress.   I havent stopped worrying or thinking about this for over a week. Do you believe i may be over reacting, or do i have a serious issue?  After the encounter i looked at the condom at it looked intact yet i am still worried something may have gone wrong.  Your advise will be much appreciated

Welcome to our Forum. Your symptoms are more characteristic of stress and anxiety than an STD.  The onset of symptoms in your case was earlier than is typical for STDs, the symptoms are non-specific and, most importantly, you report using a condom.  Your condom did not fail.  Condoms do not "leak".  Rather, when condoms fail, they break wide open.  You really do not need to worry about the exposure you report.

I hope my comments will help you to move forward from this.  EWH
