Hi everyone. I have just been reading your posts.anted to know if anyone has had or has heard of,having numbness, pins ad needles, tighhtness and or heaviness in hands, feet and or legs?
When this all started I already had meny illness and syndroms.I have Fibromyagia, dieabetes, copd, gred, deppresion(from having everything else). But in aug.I was put in the hospital for weakness and falling. It was then that my doctors deceided I was on to much medications(27 in all)And they took them all away at once.A few days later I started having numbness in hands, feet and legs.I also found I could no longer walk or even stand by myself. Before I used a cane most of the time sometimes useing a walker.I was sent to rehad for tharaphy on my legs. And to learn how to walk again.Even though now I need a walker all the time and a wheel chair when out.Since I have been home  have developed new symtoms. Now I have numbness, pins and needles, tightness and heaviness in hands feet and legs.Sometimes going up my stomach into my chest.I am takin neurontin, moraphine and darvocet for these problems.Without much relife.Any ideas on what to try?Has anybody heard of any of these?
I went to a nero. And was told he wouldn't treat me because I was on to meny Meds(I take other meds for other illness)He said he couldn't give me any meds. or do surgery if anything was found wrong. So I am only under the care of a GP.I don't no where to go from here.

Hi!  Me too.  Tingling, numbness, pins and needles.  It actually wakes me up at night!  I amwaiting for another follow up appt with my neuro to take place in the next few weeks.  So far we've ruled out Lupus, MS, brain tumors etc.  I am to have never conductions studies done to see if I have carpal tunnel.  I have too many symptoms though for that to be my only problem.

good luck to you

He wouldn't test me for anything.I guess I need to find another doctor. This one wouldn't even try to change the neurontin to something else.He did't do any thing.I looked in the phone book .I found only one other group.I think I will ask my pain doctor if he knows anyone.I just started going back to my pain doctor.I had stoped going after my regular doctor retired. Not to happy with the new one. So I left.My regular doctor started giving me my pain meds. But after the hospital stay.He has cut me back on pain meds. And they aren't working. He won't give me anymore than I am taking now.It is only a fration of what I took before. So I guess I have to go back to the pain group I was i before I left.I had seen them for 6 years. So they have my records.Maybe he will know who I could see for the neuropity.

Hi dodie

I'm JibJen and in limbo. I am sorry you have been experiencing so much. I hope you can find someone who can help! This forum is a great start to help you..It is for me!

I have had many simiar symptoms of numbness and tigling and weakness on my left side..i have never had an episode to the point of falling but was having significat problems with climbing stairs which seem to have resolved. I had also had EXTREME fatigue which has gotten better..my overll complaint right now is the numbness, tingling and prickling sensations in my hands and feet.

my hands have been the worse and the prickling sensatio has been very painful..these all seem one sided..except for my right thumb which went numb about aa month agao and is basically partially numb now...i also have my left big toes that goes numb and comes back...I noticed my hands and toes get cold sensations too.

I am hoping I can get an answer soon..I have had numerous MRI's which sho lesions but the last one showed no change
i have an EMG which was normal but that is as far as I have gotten.

i am being told right now by my neuro that no MS but it's a "wait and see kind of thing"  and he wants to continue to track my sensory symptoms (I am unsure of what we are "waiting to see" for) He also wants to ween me off migraine meds.

Good Luck to you!
Be well
JibJen

Hi There,

I am sorry you are going through so much...
Unfortunatly most of us on here experience simular symptoms. Myself included.
Mine is interemittent. I will feel almost normal for a while then out of the blue I will start having issues. I am awaiting the results of my Lumbar puncture to either confirm or mostly rule out MS.

You definatly need to be under the care of a neurologists. Regaurdless of medications. I have never heard of such a thing. Most of us on here have been to numerous specialists. If you do not like the respone you got from one neuro go see another one.
Have you had Mri's and a lumbar puncture? What tests have you had done for the new neurological issues?

Please Take care, Theresa
