SPOOKY!!!!!
My mom and I both experience this and have for as long as I can remember. So it cant just be my brain lesions...????
I will hear voices or music at night. I remember when mom and I first figured out we were both experiencing this. She would say somthing like The neighbors were loud lastnight or where you on the phone stuff like that. Then we would realize that no one else heard it but us.Sometimes it sounds like just one person other times its a bunch.
When my mom was pregnant with me she started to get headaches and sleep walk.My dad would find her on her knees on the kitchen floor. Her arms would be stretched towards the ceiling. she had all sorts of tests done and nothing was ever found. As soon as I was born it stopped......
I need to face the fact that my mom and I are just freaks.....LOL
My grandson was sat on my daughters bed one day she wasnt very well. He was only about 3 at the time and giving her a bit of cuddle. He started to look up at the curtains and was having a conversation with someone, a clear conversation. It made my daughter sit up in bed and she asked him who he was talking to, he said THE OLD MAN he is sitting on the window .++++++
She tried to appear non frightened and asked him what did he look like and he said he was a big man with grey hair and glasses. Well that more or less describes my dad LOL.
He wasnt frightened at all. He was just chatting to him about what he was doing and he asked him to look after his mum. Weird talk about imagination OR WAS IT?
For as long as I can remember I have experienced the unexplainable. So did my mother and grandmother. The majority of my experiences have been feelings. Feelings of heaviness ,sadness, lonliness, fear, dread, temperature fluctuations etc. I get them from places, people and objects. Sometimes they are scary other times almost comforting.
This is going to sound very weird .....When I was little my mother took me to visit a deceased relatives grave at a veterans cemetary. I was walking up to every grave and saying the persons name outloud. My mom asked me what I was doing? I told her that they wanted to hear their names. She did not question me any further and let me continue. I still do it to this day. It can be anywhere at anytime. I just get a weird urge to do it. And I have to do it.I have never ignored it and am not sure what would happen if I did.
I have experienced similar experiences. I have never felt fear.
I always feel it Gods way of showing me the angels are around. He's carrying me.
One night I was very overloaded with some issues I was facing in my life.
I went out on my porch to sit in my favorite chair as I often do, to ponder over things
that seem to heavy or to just relax and let negative thoughts or concerns be replaced
w peace inside. I have 5 people who left a great impact on my life at one point or
another, that have passed away. I often thank them for the great lessons on life I
learned from their living examples.
One night I was so over whelmed as I sat there on my chair.
I sat up alert because someone had clearly softly called my name "NiCee.."
I thought who was that? I was living alone and no one was around! I looked both ways
and saw no one, so relaxed back on my chair, thinking it was in my mind. A few
seconds later, I heard my name again....I held my breath a little and listened,
as I sat there I was reminded of the story of Samuel in the Bible.
I felt a peace come over me and seconds later I heard NiCee again,,,, I smiled and
looked up to the beautiful heavens and said "Ok Lord! I'm Listening!"
I heard an old song from childhood so loud and clear! Sounded like angles singing...
The song was " Tears are a Language God Understands"
I wasn't crying. but my heart was bleeding with inner pain . The song goes on to say
how he sees our tears before the even fall.
He's been here all along! And Will never leave!
I have often felt the presence of one of the 5 people I mentioned earler, It's like they
are nodding in approval or patting my back cheering me on or saying GO GIRL!!
I enjoy these visits they leave me w a warm comforting glow and peace! NiCee
I too find it fascinating. My children and a couple of my sisters have also had many experiences with spirit people showing up. It's too bad, I think, that those who have a hard time with this part of life are so critical of what others think about it. I'll bet it was your ex husband coming to pay a visit...why not. I'm glad I listened to the old man too. Hugs, Charley.
Hi charley no I do believe in after life especially after my visit from my dad which I am convinced it was him.
Prior to me getting really ill I would have strange things happen like lights on when I knew I turned them off you know the usual things.
I am not frightened by it really.
My daughter was telling me when she had her first child she had a caesarean and was laying wide awake and she looked over to her sons cot and my dad was stood there looking down at him. She wasnt on drugs she said she saw him quite clearly, he looked at her and looked down at the child and then smiled and he was gone.
My grandson is the image of my dad funny enough and when he was born because of the problems my daughter was having they came and gave him to me to look after and I swear to god he looked up at me as though he knew me. There is no other explanation.
I am really glad you listened to the old man charley otherwise you wouldnt be here now chatting to us LOL.
I wonder yesterday if it was my ex husband come to say hello. It was the anniversary of his death. He died suddenly of a anerism in his lungs after battling lung cancer.
I find this subject fascinating.
xxxxx Maria
Sounds to me like you had a visitor. I've had these experiences all my life and I don't think they are hallucinations at all. I've known hundreds of people with similar experiences and for all of us they are just part of our lives.
It started for me, I think, when I was about 4 years old, in the hospital with Rheumatic Fever. This was in 1947-eek am I that old? My parents had been called to the hospital because I had died. I remember that experience as if it was yesterday.
I was in a tunnel filled with the most incredible white light and a man with long white hair was standing in front of me. I remember feeling so incredibly full of joy and had no horrible pain at all. He told me that I had to return as I had too much work to do on earth. The hospital staff found me later sitting upright outside of my oxygen tent. They were stunned. I went home soon after that.
When I told my parents about the man, they laughed at me and told me I had a very vivid imagination. I brought it up over the years and finally when other people talked about similar experiences on tv, I was a bit more accepted for my strangeness in the family.
These experiences have continued to this day and (not that one specifically).
When my grandma died I smelled her perfume in my home which was about 200 miles from where she lived.
StormyRenee, I can't tell you how many times I've heard people talk about getting cold right before they feel a physical contact. It's happened to me too.
When I was much younger, I studied this whole subject and continue to as I believe it's just part of who we all are and it's nothing to be afraid of.
I remember talking to a ninety year old woman who told me that she saw the spirit of a man standing at the foot of her bed. This had gone on for about 50 years and she was
still afraid to go to bed. She was afraid that the man was going to hurt her. I told her that if hadn't by now, there was a really good chance that after all those years, he wouldn't. I suggested that the next time she saw him that she say hello and ask him who he was. I don't know if she did that because I never saw her again. Well, I could rattle on and on.
Trust your instincts. If it doesn't feel right don't acknowledge it. If it feels right tell them hello. Charley
He was checking on you...
Dogs can definatly sense things.
My Great G-pa died a month before I was born so I never got to meet him.My mom loved him a great deal. At his funeral my mom had me in her arms. She said that all of a sudden she got real cold and felt a hand on her shoulder. It felt like some one was looking over her shoulder. My great g-pa smoked a particular brand of cigars. My mom could smell them. It lasted for a few minutes. She believes that he wanted to have a look at me.......
As far as smelling things why is it always a funky smell? Why cant it be roses or cookies baking in the oven?I'd even settle for new car....Not fair...LOL
Hi stormy yes I get the smell thing. One day it was cooking onions so strong and then another day burning. I could smell either burning plastic or wire and would be constantly checking and sniffing the house.
I nearly drive my husband nuts as I am always saying I can smell things lol.
Yes you would have been branded a witch LOL. It must have been awful to live in those days as if we have migraines now they must have had them then too.
I am still not sure what happened. A buddy reckons it is part of my illness said probably my brain was thinking about the day before LOL.
I do believe in the supernatural though.
This is true. Honestly.
When my dad died 13 years ago, I was devastated inconsolable as he was my best buddy.
I was laying on the bed crying my heart out and in the foetal position. I felt someone pat me on the back as though comforting me so I sat up a little and turned to see who it was there was no one there.
I just assumed I had imagined it.
Then when I settled back down I felt someone sit on the end of my bed just by my feet it was quite a heavy person, so again I sat up and looked and there was no one there. Just as I was looking my dog Ben came up the stairs and jumped onto the bed.
Within seconds his hackles were up and he was growling at someone in the exact same position as I could feel the weight go down on the bed. I mean growl really growling and upset, he took one look at me and high tailed it out of the bedroom.
I kid you not. This is true.
I then realised it was my dad, and i felt really calm all of a sudden and warm and just not upset any more. He had come to say goodbye I am sure of it.
Prior to this happening at 4am that morning the bedroom window had flew open (they reckon he had died at about 4am) and I had to get up to close it and there was no wind.
Before I got sick real sick I would get up in the morning and the picture of me and my dad would be laying face down on the carpet having fallen from the mantle piece. There is no way it could have fallen, and had been there ever since he had died so why all of a sudden. This happened a few months on and off before I really got sick. Was it dad warning me?
No I do believe there can be strange things.
The dog thing for me though was almost proof that someone had come to see me.
From that day ben never came back upstairs. How weird was that.
Spooooooooky........................xxx
WOW!
I believe in the supernatural and have expeirenced the unexplainable before.I have always seen odd things.
But now I see weird **** all the time.I see things scurry into the corners.I see shadows and dark spots alot.I see kind of a halo around things at time. I even see spots of shimmering color.I smell things that arent there. The neuro blames it all on my lesions and migraine aura.....??????
Back in the day I would have been either been branded a witch and burned at the stake or considered a saint. Joan of ark suffered from migraine with aura and visual disturtbances..We all know what happened to her....LOL
Well even more freaked out now my daughter just reminded me her dad died today 6 years ago at 10am (roughly the time I saw my door shut).
OMG could it have been him LOL. I loved him a lot even though we got divorced and still think about him a lot. Could he be about I wonder ??? Stranger things have happened.
