Welcome to the forum! I have a good friend with Lyme Disease. Our symptoms are so similar, however all of my tests for Lyme have come back negative. Have you have the Western Blot test done yet? MRI's? Lumbar Puncture? I'm doing this backwards, but I'll check out your blog, which may answer some of my questions. Keep us updated on what you are experiencing and what you are finding out.

I must tell you urgently what happened to my daughter in October.
She went on vacation to Sweden with her partner. Her partners brother lives right by the woods. Because where he lives is rife for Lymes my daughter did not venture into them. Her partners brother had dogs and they would go for long walks everyday through the woods.
Well they stayed there for a week.
A few days after arriving home my daughter was having a shower and when she was washing her back she felt something odd. She called her partner to have a look and you will never believe it not in a million years.............
THERE STUCK IN HER BACK WAS A BIG FAT TICK.
OMG she nearly fainted. Even keeping out of the woods she got one of the dogs. She had to see the doctor urgently who took the tick out and put her on an urgent course of antibiotics. So far so good........
Now if you were on vacation in Deep Creek and got sick afterwards I would bet your bottom dollar its lymes or similar. There are lots and lots of white tail deer where you went. In 2004 there were 20,000 cases of Lyme disease per year (spread largely by ticks that live on deer in the states. So the odds are really high.
You might not have even noticed a tick bite. My daughter had no clue.
I think illinwithoutacause has it spot on you need to see a biotoxin spcialisat asap.
I dont believe in coincidences......Your symptoms are exactly what one would expect with lymes or similar.
hi again,

when the infectious disease dr. gave me doxy for two weeks, it did make me feel a little better for a month, but he said that if i was sick from erlhiciosis ( which he could not tell me from tests when I had contracted that ) it wouldnt even need a prescription it gets better by itself in a short amount of time.
My symptoms started in December 2009 - which is close to 2010.
Came back from a vacation at Deep Creek.
It started out with facial tingling then progressed pretty fast.
It has not gone away and it is 2 years later. I did have a time of
less symptoms though. None have subsided just added on new ones,
or they are more frequent lately.
I still have some ideas of what it could be - my guesses.
I do have vitamin b12 and d defiencies but they all told me
that is not this dibilitating.
Could Be -
csf leak
lymes
chiari malformation
tmj/tmd
fibromyalgia ( i dont think so )
I would like to add my welcome as well. I'm sorry that you are going through all this right now. It must be hard, especially with such a little one. Please stick around here. You will find great support!
Can you tell us when your symptoms started? What started first? Did they come in waves or all at once? Have any of them subsided?
Take care!
Sarah
welcome to the limboland forum. i read through your intro on your blog and you are in good company here.
i might add seeing a lyme-literate medical doctor to your list of docs to see. infectious disease docs don't cut the mustard. the folks on the lyme board here on medhelp can help point you in the right direction. i think one of them sees a doc in the baltimore area.
