i attended my disability hearing this morning and won.  i can't believe it.

just wanted to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers.

Congrat's on winning the disability case. I can just imagine the relief! Did I understand you correctly -- one of the doc's supported your case and the other disagreed? That must have been interesting.

thank you helen & suz.  it is a relief.  i would much rather be a functional person and working a full-time job, but until i get better, this will take some of the edge off of things, for sure.

i am scheduling a massage for next week after my daughter starts school and my schedule frees up a little.

i appreciate everyone's support so much.  i hope you are all having a good weekend.

congratulations. I'm sure that takes one huge pressure off you. I understand how overwhelming it it to be sick and to have to fight to prove it. You need to do something to celebrate-if not a vacation like Jibs suggested, maybe a massage?

That's okay, I am so sorry you are going through this. Maybe right now may be  good time to take a break and try to relax a bit and then revisit.Do you have another appt. with a doctor coming up? Do you have a PCP you can speak to about it?

I'm so sorry you are feeling this way..I know it is tough when doc's look at you like you are crazy or just disregrad anything you say....

Try to find some peace for now and maybe you can speak to the first doc or call back the 2nd opinion and ask him why he did not feel further testing is needed...Or a PCP can maybe help.

Plese take care..I am going away but want to know you will be okay..

well, once again i am made a fool of by doctors who could care less about me.

my 2nd opinion turned out to be nothing but a joke. it was not what i call a "independent 2nd opinion". my definition of a 2nd opinion is for your own opinion by the things you have heard from your patient and the test that you have done yourself.

that is not what he did. he was giving the test results from the initial time my neuro problems started on march 15th of this year. he was also givin appt. notes from the other neurologist i had seen that refused to do nothing.

the dr. for the 2nd opinion did not do any test at all. did a small physical exam and that was it. i felt like he had made up his mind before he ever laid eyes on me as to what was wrong. and that was NOTHING.
still refusing to do any new test and only look at the ones done almost 7 months ago now. that sounded exactly like to me that he was listening to others then to me the main person.

i have had it w/ drs. the not listening, disbelief, and noncaring attitudes. i don't know what else to do. i am tired of drs. i could care less about them anymore.
i guess my only hope is in God my father.

thank you, jibby.  i have to wait for them to send me the paperwork and it will take a couple of months, but i'm glad this is over.  it was sort of a grueling experience as one of the medical experts was totally against me, but the second one supported my claim, as did the judge and that was that.

i am in shock.
