Itching and Heat

Hi

For the past few weeks, though it could be longer and I've just forgotten, I've had horrible itching over different parts of my body and it's driving me nuts.
Anyone else suffer from this problem?
I've tried creams and things but it doesn't help.
I've seen that on the MS tracker it is down as a symptom.
Also hating this heat wave in the UK - don't get me wrong it's nice to see some sunshine but it's too hot for me, it's draining and makes me even more tired.

Any ideas folks?

Happy Easter bunnies x

I too suffer with that itch ... legs and feet are the worst, but I'm pretty sure that people think I have head lice because I can get an itch in one spot and could win the scratching contest for England by trying to stop that itch!

I found something that helps... I was sent to a skin specialist, who didn't know what on earth is/was causing the itch but prescribed 2% Menthol in Aqueous Cream.  The pharmacist will take Menthol crystals and grinds them up until they're a really fine powder.  This is then mixed in with the Aqueous Cream and put into a pot.

I've never used it on my scalp, but it's absolutely BRILLIANT for the legs.  It moisturises with the cream, but the Menthol which is suspended in the cream does something magical ... as you spread it onto your legs and gentle rub it in, it makes your legs feel FREEZING COLD .. and so stops the itch!

It's a magical mixture, and you don't have to get it prescribed if you don't want to visit the doctor.  You can just as your pharmacist to make it up for you.

I strongly recommend this stuff.  It really does work, cross my heart!  xxx

Oh that's so weird,

I've had the same thing with hot showers, patches of my thighs would go numb it was the weirdest (well ok along with all the rest LOL) feeling.
I try and keep the temperature warmish now and this seems better but it's been hot down here in the South today so I've been scratching away at my arms.
Now that it's cooler my arms don't itch anymore - odd!

Suz before my symptoms became really apparant something strange happened to me.

Every time I had a hot bath my legs afterwards would itch and burn. I never had that before. I laughed at my husband at one point and said can you become allergic to water lol.

I even had hot showers where I would get weird patches of numbness or itching or burning on different areas.

It go so bad that finally I twigged it was the heat of my bath...but I was non the wizer at the time as to why this would be happening. Its strange it happened before I got all the real symptoms .......

I suffer itching all over whether it is hot or cold and I've had it for about 10 years ;o(  I find it is worse when I get into bed and get warm or after a bath or shower.
My doctor gave me some stuff to use in the bath that helped a bit but I've not used it for a while and for the life of me can't remember what it was....brain drain ha ha x If I remember I'll let you know LOL.
Do you think you are allergic to playing the bagpipes/bagpuss LOL.
Hugs

Happy Easter.

Oh that darn itch.......it drives me mad and has been for 3 days it is the heat.

Mine at the moment is just on my index finger of my right hand....I keep looking for a bite mark nothing, and if I scratch at it .... it makes it worse and it feels weird I hate it.......on and on and on, it even woke me up.

I get that darn itch on my shoulder, arm, feet and my shins. I have woken up with blood on my sheets and deep scratches on my shins before now.........

Oh and the hair scalp I think I have nits lol.......

Hey anyway I did a search and funny enough I just found this.

I COULD HAVE WRITTEN this........it matches me 100 per cent.

Happy Easter Bunnies to you 2,

I am so sorry you are having the itchies....I wish the weather inn US was a little nicer..I experienced the itchies but can not remember if it was due to heat..When we had a heat wave here last summmer, I got a dose of extreme fatigue and weakness in legs with burning up both shins..I could barely stand up I was so weak and tired...Don't know if it relates..
