Update: A little out of my mind ~ checking in.

Yesteday was my last day of my 5 day IVSM treatment. I admit, I am feeling...odd. I can't really pin point it except that I feel a bit like I'm in space...body and soul. lol ~ Overall, I have tolerated the treatments well. I have very small veins that did not though so I am pretty bruised up.

One thing I did not expect was that (Warning: TMI coming next) was I started my cycle and it's pretty, well, very heavy. I was nearly 10 days early. It started the first day after treatment.

Otherwise, y'all might be surprised to learn (which I will report to all my Neuro's) that nearly ALL my vision issues are resolved - I have NO halo's, no ghost images, no double vision, etc. My muscle twitches, jerking and spasticity are much improved.

I have had a temperature since starting treatment and have noticed that Uthoff's syndrome is still plaguing me. I have an decrease in visual acuity, saturation and some numbness near my right eye when my body temperature is increased. Overall - other than feeling a bit lost in space, lightheaded and weak... I'm ok.

I hope you all are okay. I see there are a lot of new posts. I promise to come back and check in with everyone individually but this is taking a bit out of me at the moment. I just wanted you to know I was thinking of all of you and check in.

It sounds like there is definitely a price to pay, but I think it sounds worth it for a long term improvement of your vision.

I hope the side effects go away soon!

Thats a good result. I dont think you will eliminate all the problems with the IV treatment but the main one which was your problems with the eyes.

Yes I have heard that IVsteriods can bring on periods and heavy.

Hi! Glad to hear that the IVSM went well.  

Since I started oral steroids 3 months ago my cycles come around twice as often, so I think this must be a normal reaction.  Glad the IVSM helped with your vision issues.
