confused and tired!

I'm 33 year old female and  since december I have had one problem after another. It started by picking up a towel which caused me to fall to the ground in horrible pain. A week later the severe migraines and now I get a headache everyday. I had left side weakness and numbness to my hands and feet ( more to the left ). I also have non-reactive babinski to the left foot and postive romberg. I have had a brain mri in aug 09 and was told I had lesions on the brain  that looked like ms lesions or could be from migraines. I've had a couple of brain and spinal mri's some lessions were seen and the thoracic spine and some degenerative disease in the cervical and lumbar. I had a lumbar puncture in dec and everything came back ok(ranges were in the lower normal range) . I was admitted to the hospital in mid march and was treated with IV steroids for poss. transverse myelitis. I had another lumbar puncture and my glucose was higher than normal range and all the other  ranges  were in higher normal range). I still have numbness to the left foot and now I have get electrical shooting pains in my left hand. I would feel better for a few weeks and then get worse. I have also noticed when I work out  ( or try) my legs would go numb and i would feel sick and be very tired for a few days afterwards. I looked at my mri results and no confirmed diagnosis of tm. Sorry I'm venting but I just don't know where else to turn ! Confused and tired.

Gosh, ak, it must feel like you've been suddenly hit with a sledgehammer from hell.

I guess your docs haven't given any firm dx and that uncertainty adds heaps to the suffering. Have they said anything more definitive about what they think this is: TM, MS, CNS infection or whatever?

I wish these people would find a way of working out the difference between various white matter lesions and generally speeding up the diagnostic process. It would make life so much easier for all of us.

Meanwhile, have a read of other Limbolanders' sx and ask them questions etc. There's a load of info and experience between us.
