Bacterial vaginosis help

I've had bacterial vaginosis on and off for a year now. It's ruining my sex life and self esteem and i feel like I'm so upset over it I'm starting to get depressed. I just finished another round of doxycycline have been taking rephresh probiotics drinking kefir and inserting plain dannon yogurt. I still have fishy smelling discharge and burning. I'm supposed to spend a weekend with a guy I've been wanting to be intimate with for a while now and I can't tell him bc we aren't in a relationship where I feel comfortable exposing that much. He said he loves giving oral and now I'm even more scared that this isn't going to go away in time. I have a week. And if I do get it to go away were spending a whole weekend together, is there anything I can do after sex each time to keep it from coming back instantly? I've heard of using peroxide. Would that be safe for oral afterwards? I feel like I'm never going to get over this and it upsets me so much.

Hi! I had issues with chronic yeast/bacterial vaginosis Infections from January-April. The only thing that helped and cured my issues was boric acid suppositories. They are a life saver! Much cleaner and easier than creams, and doctor approved! I used 1 each night for 7-10 days. It was like a miracle. And then if it happens again, repeat for 3-5 days. I haven’t had issues since April and it’s now may 26. Please know to be careful with these capsules tho, as they are poisonous if swallowed.

Taking probiotics on a regular basis would be beneficial long term.

Try garlic.  At least 3-4 cloves per day for a week.  Chop them up or if you are brave chew them up (chase with water).  If you are really really brave I have read stories of women using them as vaginal suppositories over night and claiming almost instant success.  Anyway, do your own research on it, come to your own conclusions.  Best of luck!

Hi,

I'm sorry that bacterial vaginosis is making you miserable; you have my sympathy. I have no experience with H202 douching, so I can't say whether it is effective, or how risky it is. I understand that you feel desperate to get rid of this problem, but douching is usually frowned upon in regard to treating BV. Unless you already have done so, you may want to ask your doctor about treatment with either metronidazole, clindamycin, or tinidazole. Honestly, your gynecologist would be the best person to advise you on treatment with this.
