Chlamydia and Treatment

Im a 33 yr old female, dagnosed with Chlamydia 2 weeks ago...Ive been with two ppl since my divorce 5 years ago and the second person is who I believe i caught this from. We usually use condoms but about three weeks ago during a session the condom slipped off and stayed in me...semen was everywhere.  WIthin days I developed yellowish thich discharge and burning and itching sensation..I went directly to STI clinic to be tested not wanting to take any risks. Within a week I got the call that I tested positive for Chlamydia...I was given a single 1g dose of azythromax and 1 dose of another med for gonorhea...just in case...Its now been 9 days since the treatment...discharge is back to a normal white color but I find its still thick ish and there is more then normal. I have also been having mild pelvic cramping and burning behind my pubic bone...Could my system just be still healing ?? or should all of this be gone by now?? Also, when I  took the meds I was two days into my period. My period started out as fresh blood and quickly turned to a dark brown and clumpy ish...could the infection cause this ?? Im so stressed about this, I just dont know what is normal.  All replies will be much appreciated...and by the way, I have not had sex since diagnosis and both partners have been informed to get checked ASAP.   TY

I'm 19 years old and I was diagnosed with Chlamydia  six months ago. I had the seven day pill but when I was done with it I went back for a follow up, tested negative and was fine. However I did have periods like yours and the discharge was thicker. It's just normal I guess. The uterus has been damaged somewhat (depending on how long you've had it) so that's probably what the change was.

The medication should have cleared up everything but there is a small chance that it did not... Normally when you test positive for these to sti's they request that you have a re - test to make sure all is cleared.... I would go in and have them re- test to make sure the meds cleared it up.....

As for the symptons.... I would assume that they are just your bodies way of working out the infections.... But I am no doc.... I would give your Dr a call and ask them about the symptoms
