Compulsive sugar eating and masturbating

Hello everyone, perhaps i should see a counsellor but i will try here for starters!

I have been addicted to these two things for as long as i can remember. I'm 26 now and can remember masturbating at age 5 or thereabouts! In my teenage years i starting eating sweets (and lots of them) to the point where i cant go a day without indulging in a large bag of sweets or 2 or 3 chocolate bars!

Sugar seems to make me want to masturbate- sometimes 4 times a day but at least once per day. I have tried to stop and can manage a few days but it always starts up again. I dont know these compulsions are linked to a difficult childhood (lots of arguing, shouting, bullying!) or just a weak mind but i can seem to shake them off. Mostly is feel ashamed and guilty about masturbating so much but i also feel unhealthy am worried about my future health.

Any advice?

i think its in your mind when your eating sweets your not masturbating and when your mrasturbating your not eating sweets.your trying to overcome one thing by doing another.find yourself a hobby to keep your mind occupied.computer games is one,i sit and play computer games from sunup to sundown.then i watch a movie and fall asleep.day gone ready for the next.or see a doctor maybe he can give you something to dfer you from the sweets and slow you down on the masturbating.good luck

congradulations you made it to first base keep up the good work.i don't know how much you weigh but from the sounds of it with all the sweets you must be pretty heavy.if so go on a salad diet ,get your self looking pretty good and find yourself a women to share some time with.doesn't mean you have to get serious and have sex ,just someone to share your life with and who knows maybe something serious will come out of it.good luck to you and stand fast and keep your chin up.things will get better for you i know it will.you take are know.

Damn, I was fine 3 months while not indulging in sugar (very low amount actually) and I also felt like I had complete control over masturbation (no compulsions or cravings at all ---- first 3 months which is wild I know - very horny tho in some mornings, but that's easy to manage). For 2 weeks now after Christmas, I have eaten a lot of sweets and the compulsion is present again in my head, when now, I'm trying to quit back on sweets again. So i don't know if these 2 are related. But I'm not sure if I'm craving porn or sweets. But my mind slipped a few times to my old triggers of porn. It's pretty interesting to me. I will try to fight for the first time the cravings/compulsions for the first time in 3 months:))) and maybe i'll come back with some thoughts, maybe i'll help someone or even myself. Take care everyone.
