I haven't gone out to be tested yet so I think that will put my mind at ease when I do :)
Thank you
Vaccines work on your whole system, they do not protect your genitals and fail to protect your mouth. Again, my suggestion is to talk to a counselor or therapist about your obsessive worry.
Hi Anniebrooke, I believe that vaccine has worked as i haven't experienced "genital wart" but im afraid I have HPV in my mouth as i noticed a lump on my tonsil and I'm unsure if the vaccine protects some oral HPV .... Your right that i do feel guilty and afraid it's affecting my health. Thank you for answering me :)
You're not the only person who has ever been in this kind of irrational anxiety over a possible STD exposure before. A lot of people write in who have tested over and over and then tell themselves that maybe they tested too early or there is a .03% chance the test is inaccurate so they tell themself they are in that .03%. I think it (the incredible anxiety) sometimes comes from feeling subconsciously guilty about what they did, or maybe because some of the people live very sheltered lives where they have never really had any risks, and now they are finding themselves in a spot where there is a risk. I'm wondering, if you're worried about HPV but have had a vaccine against it, are you saying that you have now told yourself that the vaccine doesn't work?
Hoi Help, But getting tested will surly clear you mind, its only if it comes back positive then you can start to get stressed and not before.
You must remember if your having sex without condoms then its you who is putting yourself at resk.
Good Luck
I know but I'm just so afraid that I will come back postive :( I hope I don't.
Am I the only one who's been in this situation before ? I'm so afraid to go get another test.
You sound more anxious than really at risk. Are you seriously asking if a nurse giving information at a sexual health clinic would give out wrong information? And that more than one of them would? Please re-think your concerns and maybe get some anxiety counseling. Good luck.
I had sex unprotected 5 timss with a guy who isn't a drug user or gay . I live in australia and they at its highly unlikely because heterosexual hiv in australia is really low - no matter how many girls he has been with ... They tell me I'm high risk for chlamydia and wen I had a test for all common ones all came back negative
I'm worried about HPV because I see its common but I've had a vaccine for it and nurse said i am protected but I still need Pap smears
Ho Help, it would be nice if you told us your circumstances, then we could give you an answer as well?
