How to protect yourself during oral sex

I haven't dated since before Aids became a concern.  I know about wearing a condom for sex but what on earth do you do to protect a man when you are receiving oral sex?  I want to be prepared when the time comes.

I suggest you both get tested for STDs and AIDS so condoms and other protection are not necessary. If they cant wait a week to have sex they are not worth having sex with.

I had a man object to a condom because he said he was clean (I am) and his excuse was how would he be protected during oral sex.

You are a female, if you don't have HIV why are you concerned about protecting a male from something you don't have?
