Infected Hair or Herp

I have been sexually active for a couple of years and I have no encountered any STD problem. I am a lesbian. Recently after sleeping with my current girlfriend who is a virgin. I noticed one bump on my upper pubic area. I have gotten an infected hair before and think this maybe just that. I believe I can see the but when I touch it harshly it burst with a pus-like substance. But it only hurts when I touch it and there is only one. I am not sure what to do. I have like a chronic fear of the doctor and I am not sure if I should wait it out and see if it goes away or go to the doctor. I have been under a ton of extra stress with work and would like to resolve this in the easiest way possible.  Please some one help.

See your doc now. If it is the herp, he can medicate you. The sooner you get treatment the greater your chance of never getting a recurrence.

Sounds like an ingrown hair. I get them sometimes especially after I shave. Make sure to clean it well, and put some neosporin on it. If it doesn't start to heal the I would make an appointment with your Dr.
