Keep in mind that prostate cancer is primarily a slow growing cancer, primarily in older men. A high percentage of men develop it if they live long enough. Fortunately, it's usually easy to detect by exam and PSA tests that should be done annually. So every man should be aware of the strong possibility of developing this slow-growing cancer. Treatments are often successful. The biggest risk is ignoring the tests as no one knows for sure the cause. Regular sexual activity is likely a more healthy activity for the prostate than unhealthy, and unless the penis skin is in regular contact with strong chemicals of a "man-made" origin (insecticides, herbicides, etc.) sexual activity is likely a healthy thing for the prostate. Smoking would be of much greater concern, but no one knows for sure why some cancers develop in one individual versus another. Contact with your wife, unless you are inhaling a lot of second-hand smoke should be not be a concern. It's more likely that contact will help prevent the disease.
Hi Trublu2,
I just wanted to start by saying that I'm not a DR. However, I think that this is very unlikely.
This website (http://www.dew-health.org/html/cancer_causing_factors.html) shows what may cause Cancers - ie, inherited, Environmental, Chemical etc. But I wouldn't worry. Unlike HIV or an STD it is unlikely to be passed on through Bodily fluids.
impossible. prostate cancer is not pass thru sexual intercourse.
