Systemic Yeast Infection?

I have been experiencing extreme vaginal discomfort now for over three months with no discharge. I've used monistat a couple times with no result. I went to the doctor multiple times and this last time I told her to do a COMPLETE std scan on me. She tested for any and all STD's and all came back negative (thank God). Also, at that time I did have discharge so she tested it and said it looked like a yeast infection. I told her how I was unsuccessful with the monistat and she said if I've had this yeast infection for months that it's a mean one and wrote me prescription for a one night vaginal insert. I used it Thursday night and by friday night I was a brand new person! I felt amazing that I had a normal vagina again lol! Its now tuesday and my symptoms are back :( I also have bloating, gas, diarreah/very soft stools, and nausea. So I'm thinking it may be systemic b/c I had it for so long. There is a little red rash around my anal area, and my vagina is back to being extremely angry. Would these be symptoms of a systemic yeast infection? And if so, how can it be treated medically (I don't want to hear about rubbing garlic and fish oil on my vagina I've read all of that stuff, I would really like something that would DEFINATELY work aka medicine, even if its a prescription, I need to know if I can be cured)

I saw my gyno, that's the doc I'm talking about that I've seen multiple times. I'm going to call her today and speak with her about the possiblity of it being systemic, b/c now I'm really not feeling well today. If she's not taking me seriously again, I'll call another doctor and get in to see her immediately. Thank you for your help.

See a gynecologist, as your doctor obviously isn't taking your concerns seriously. If it is a yeast infection, it could be in your anus and that's why no matter how often you use the monistat, the infection keeps returning. A gynecologist may prescribe antibiotics to take care of it throughout your entire body. Either way, if my guess is wrong, a gynecologist will be able to help you much more than your doctor can. Good luck.
