Sex Hurts on Nuvaring

I have started to experience a lot of pain during sex.  I started on Nuvaring three months ago.  After the first week I got my first UTI.  I was told that it was not related to the Ring.  Other than the UTI everything was fine and sex was a good as it had always been.  4 weeks later I had my first yeast infection also told that it was not related to the Ring.  Following a week of treatment for the yeast infection I attempted to have sex and it was so painful that we had to stop.  I was still feeling a bit itchy and figured that maybe the yeast infection had not totally cleared.  We waited a week and tried again.  This time we were able to have sex, but it was still painful and I noticed slight bleeding afterwards.  Wait another week and have sex again.  This time it was still painful, but no bleeding.  Any ideas as to what is going on here?  Is the Nuvaring the cause of all this pain?  Do I still have a yeast infection 3 weeks later (itching and discharge are gone)?

I was fine until I started this birth control and now I have had UTI, Yeast Infection and Sex hurts so much I don't want to do it anymore.

Help.

I have several places that is is perfcectly safe to remove the Nuvaring anywhere from 2-3 hours for intercourse reasons, and it will not affect your hormones, and the cycle itself, as far as getting your cycle, and still being protected against pregnancy...maybe this will work for you and your partner!!!

I am experiencing the same on the nuva ring and really wanting to tell my husband I don't want to use it anymore. I thought I may be the only one experiencing that. I also had yeast. Sex was good before the nuvaring and there is no way it's not the nuvaring as your doctor may try and tell you so. I am scared to have sex because of how it may feel. I had sex with my husband yesterday and I'm still feeling discomfort today when I use the restroom like it's irrated. And a little itching. I set for a doctors appointment because I can't take it anymore. Me not my husband can enjoy sex. My husband enjoys while I'm halfway enjoying but also in pain. Their are times we don't even do it because I'm afraid

Many people have experienced pains and light bleeding while having intercourse and using nuvaring. It seems to affect everyone differently, but it's very likely the nuvaring is the source of your problems. I would suggest trying a different form of birth control, as this one is obviously not for you.
