Tear in vagina, possible infection!?
I had unprotected sex last weekend (took the morning after pill just to be safe) but I remember the sex being really rough. It was very painful and he was really big. I've only had sex 3times before. The next morning it was really painful to walk and I just presumed it was because I hadn't had sex in a while. When I got home I noticed that there was a little tear at the back of my vagina, it looks a bit red and inflamed, possibly a bit of puss. I'm really worried its some sort of infection. Is there any cream I can buy from the chemist without having to go to the doctor. Please help!
Sorry about that. Neosporin is a brand name antibiotic ointment with bacitracin, neomycin, and polymyxin B. You can probably find something like that at the chemist, or whatever antibiotic ointment they have there. Just don't overapply it. If you're not too embarrassed, ask the pharmacist (or chemist if that's the equivalent title) about what's best to use in moist, delicate areas.
Hi Sarah, Try a warm sea salt bath, this will help clean and heal you in one go, make sure that it gets inside you, or if your near the sea, let the sea water do the same, Do the same as A said cotton knickers or go commando, let it breath.

Taking a warm bath at least once a day (only needs to be deep enough to cover the area) can help draw things out and soothe it. You can bathe it gently with antibacterial soap, but be careful not to overwash and irritate it. Wear granny panties (cotton) and loose skirts to let it breathe and to avoid compressing it. You could try a little neosporin, but don't use so much that it's super greasy. If you start itching a lot, you could have gotten a yeast infection (which can happen with sex), and you'll need to see a doctor to confirm it. If it starts looking a lot worse (inflamed, lots of pus, red streaks going away from it, extra tender) or if you get a fever, you need to see a doctor asap.
In the future, use lube, the more the better, and make sure your partner goes slowly enough that it's not painful. Sex is not supposed to hurt (unless you want it to and have negotiated this beforehand with your partner).
