Virus/Bacteria from Prostitute

hi everyone,I've had a ongoing issue for about 13 years now. It all started after having sex with a prostitute in Thailand.I spent the night with her, there was a lot of skin contact and also she might have touched some open wounds that i had on my back. The condom did not break. After about a week and a half i began to feel a very uncomfortable pressure in my head, not to confuse with regular headache.Like a living organism had entered my brain or something.I felt this pressure for about 7 years, when some day i felt this intense tingling and thrilling in my head, face and chest. Like something was spreading from my head to my body. I`m beginning to think that some sort of poison or bacteria has been put inside my body on purpose from this prostitute. After this tingling i felt all kinds of strange undescribable things inside my body over the past 7 years.Back pains, headaches, pressure to my head and face, muscle spasms in several parts of my body, nausea, sweats, ringing in my ears, anxiety, sleeping problems, burning chest pain 24/7, dry mouth, irregular heart beats, rapid pulse, nasty mouth taste, trouble breathing, paralysis of the face(left side), pain in right elbow, tremors, heart pain. The list goes on and on and symptoms are getting worse each week.In my opinion this points in direction of some kind of infection or bacteria.(unknown perhaps?)

Tested negative for all kinds of known STDs: HIV, Chlamydia, gonorrhea, Syphilis, Hepatitis,Herpes. So I guess my question will have to be: Is it known to you any other diseases one can get from prostitution contact in Thailand, other than the regular ones transmitted sexually? Any kind of poisoning, infections, parasites, fungal infections or bacterias to look out for..?

Thank you in advance!

You all seem to have contracted some family of tick Bourne illnesses. Borrelia, bortonella, babesia, list goes on. These are what you call stealth infections. They spread somewhat in the same fashion as the black plaugue from the dark ages, from pests. More than likely a bacteria infection. I would try the process of elimination route. Use antibiotics, and monitor symptoms. Purchase from the web, doctors will not prescribe unless you test positive for a very very specific test. Keep in mind there are thousands of different tests.

Hi all
I'm a 32 year old male and have been sleeping with prostitures over the last 5 years and have been very careful. However I believe I have contracted some sort of bacteria or virus. Symptoms include. Cold for weeks, sweats, headaches, nausea, anxiousness, itchy skin as if u feel like something is crawling on the inside of ur skin all over.  I also have diarreah, swollen throat which causes vomiting and stomach pains occasionally. Breathing problems The bad thing is people who are in close contact to me just by talking will contract the same symptoms starting from a cold to chest infection to bad stomach, diarreaha, itchy skin, rashes, swollen eyes, and sometimes sores on mouth, dizziness, anxious etc.  I've been to the doctor over the last 2 years had all blood tests, stool tests, x rays as well as a colonoscopy, and I don't know what to do. The doctor doesn't really know what I have and I want the problem sorted as it's making my life a misery and to the people around me.  What can I do

Your statement is both wrong and not really useful in this context.  This is not a forum for morality discussion related to sex, but one to discuss sexual health issues.  Not surprisingly, the lion's share of the discussions are around the effects of promiscuity, since that is where the risk factors come from.

On to how you're wrong.  Your solution to the OP issue was that he should have found a "drunk girl in a bar" who would do anything.  For starters, that sounds to me like you're advocating rape.  Or maybe you are equally judgmental about drunks?  A working prostitute who knows her business (not a crackhead on the street or the like) is likely to be much cleaner and knowledgeable about sexual health than your girl in the bar scenario.  She likely practices safe sex in ALL cases, has impeccable sexual hygiene, and  gets herself tested for disease on a regular basis.  Party girls in the bars who are out having relations with a different guy every weeekend are much higher risk IMO.

So,I've been on antibiotics(cephelexin 500mg3x a day)for3 days now....I feel normal again....the swelling and itching in my eye is gone,my sinuses feel great, and I'm back at the gym...My focus will now be on the 10th day after I stop taking the antibiotics(around the time they wear off)...if it comes back,I will see the doctor again and ask for doxycycline...

The reason why your story caught my attention is because I remember sleeping with a premiscuous woman before I noticed the symptoms. I believe,we have a rare type of bacteria that hides in our sinus where it becomes dormant until it comes into contact with someone else who is a "carrier" and is immune to it. I was in contact with another premiscuous(spelling.?.)women about 5 to 6 weeks ago....Today is saturday...I am going to see the doctor and tell him my story in hope that we come to the same conclussion...I will seek doxicycline again(sigh...stuff makes me feel nausia up to an hour after taken) and expect to IMMEDIATLY(within hours of taking it)FEEL RELIEF!!!!...Right now,i hear ringing, neck is slightly tender, ear canals feel odd, back of neck/lower head feels stiff, and my eyelid is still slightly swollen/itch...

I just read your post....About 5 years ago,I had a string of colds that lasted a good 2 or 3 months. I did not know what was going on and became very worried. Eventually,I noticed that my sinus running along the side of my neck had become slightly swollen and ached. The doctor told me every so often,my immune system "reboots" itself. A culture was taken and the bacteria reacted to cephalexin so I was perscribed....low and behold,IT WORKED!!!!...However,around 10 days after I was done using the antibiotics,it came back....neck gland swelled and ached, sinus swelled, ringing in my ears, slight fever feelings,headaches.....so then I was perscribed Doxicycline which is a stronger dose usually used to treat anthrax,malaria,etc.....that worked completley and the symptoms did not return.....however,3 weeks ago,I got the same pain in my neck but not as bad as before. I figured, maybe I had a stiff neck, slept wrong, etc due to it never getting as bad as 5 years ago.....3 days ago,I started getting headaches, and had a slight pain in the corner of my eye. 2 days ago,I woke up with a swollen eye lid, pain and pressure around the socket, and the pain in my neck is a still there(still not as bad as 5 years ago) I went to the doctor, worried I have glaucoma(I'm 35,never smoked, not family history)so her perscribed me antibiotic eyedrops which didnt work...yesterday,I saw an eye doctor who perscribed me antibiotic/steroid eye ointment which hasn't worked...All roads are starting to lead to the bacteria from 5 years ago...

Hi Help, I think you need to find yourself a tropical desease specialist, you have had this for 13 years, and know one thought of sending you to one, make one think just what kind of doctors your seeing, you did not say but how did you get the open sores then?
Good Luck

Good Day,

Let us address the real issue here.

The issue is anxiety. You have no infection or virus. The simple fact that it has lasted 13 years is evidence enough that your condition is not associated with any infectious disease.

You had PROTECTED sexual intercourse with a prostitute. Condoms are very effective. STD do not migrate and infect your brain from your genitals. The only STD capable is syphilis but that is only after 20 - 45 years of infection. Besides you can not contract syphilis using a condom and you would of had symptoms already ( Chancre sores ). Syphilis is also EASILY cured.

Your main issue here is anxiety. You have spent 13 years obsessing about this issue. I am sure you have spent a lot of energy and money on it too.

My advise is that you channel your time, energy and money into seeing a psychologist and addressing your anxiety issues.

Finding a drunk woman and exploiting her for sexual favors is just as disgusting.

OP: Why haven't you been checked out for the rest of the symptoms (like numbness/tingling and heart pain)?  Just because something happened after an event doesn't mean that the event caused it (I got a cold after sitting in a chair, but the chair didn't give me the cold).  You could have something wrong with you that needs addressing that you would have had to address anyway.  Or you could have caught something in Thailand that had nothing to do with the prostitute.

While you should definitely get those symptoms checked out to rule out medical issues, you sound a little paranoid, which makes me think that your issues are being caused by your worry over the event.  Our brains are capable of amazing things, including causing real physical symptoms in response to mental processes.  I doubt a bacterial infection would hold out causing some symptoms but not getting majorly worse for 13 years.  A parasite might, which is again why you should get medically cleared before anyone decides that it's psychosomatic (an MRI probably wouldn't go amiss).

first of all why a prositute?  I and sure you could go to the bar and find a drunk lady that would be willing to do just about anything.  I think prostitution is so dirty!  I am sure there is a possibility you could have can across some kinds of parasites the had nothing to do with the prostitute.  You might want to look for an infectious disease dr.  Thay would be more likely to look for the thing uou are talking about.  Good Luck... And NO MORE PROSTITUTES!!!!
