burning sensation in urethta/ top of glans penis/waist area
I'm just not sure what is wrong with me
I'm pretty sure that I've either been infected with either hsv-2 or a yeast infection
what I know
-burning and discomfort during urination persisting for almost 4 months (almost always constant)
-Painful sensation on the head of penis and urethral opening, changes in severity, but persistant since 4/09
A red rash around pubic area that tends to show up for about a day and can last from a week to one day ( mostly an itchy sensation, doctor did cryo in that area about 2 months ago, treating what he said were warts, currentely using bactroban on infected area - ointment reduces redness and treated spots change from red to flesh colored overnight, but itching will still persist.
A red rash has appeared twice on the top of the glans penis and on foreskin, looks unlike the horror show pictures of herpes on google, but has produced small bumps on area in question and can cause a great deal of discomfort.( i thought at first it might be poison oak because i play disc golf, but i've never had posion oak that had lasted more than a month)
-Doctor says he doubts I have herpes from doing a visual check on lesions, but I'm nearly broke and I have used most of my insurances co-pay on freak-out visits to the doctor which have done no help. Who should i see, a dermatologist or a ureologist?

For two years now , i have been suffering from very very weak errection and pre-mature ejaculation . After all the uncountable ecographie and medications such Cialis 5mg , 10mg and even 20mg , the situation could not still change . Cialis 10mg ang 20mg instead made me to have serious haedaches and general body pains for almost a week . My Doctor had to change the medication to Levitra 10mg and even up to 20mg , still to no avail . Ecographie such as Echographie Scrotale , Echographie Inguinale and evenEcho-Doppler Penien with Injection of the Caverject have all been done . Nothing was found wrong . I was later sent again by my Doctor to go for check up of my sperms count . I went ,every thing was perfectly ok . I will be glade if some out there can give me a helping hand . Thanks in advance.
I would say you need to visit an STD center and be seen by a person specializing in STDs and sexual health. Dermatologists and ureologists will have some ancillary knowledge of STDs and their symptoms, but they won't be able to conclusively say anything about how to treat it and are unqualified. Seeing an STD specialist will also help with the "freak out" visits and the cost, as the dermatologists will only be able to treat the symptoms of skin infections, etc. and not say anything conclusive.
It sounds like you do have an STD. Be checked for genital warts, gonorrhea, herpes, and HIV while you're at it (always good to check).
Stop having sex immediately to prevent others from spreading it. Also, do not itch the areas as itching them and then touching other parts of your body can cause autoinoculation if you have a virus (basically can spread the virus, kinda like molluscum contagiosum).
Be prepared to answer the following questions when you get to the STD center:
1) Do you have sex with men, women, or both?
2) Do you or have you used shared needles for drug use?
3) How many partners have you had in the past year?
4) Where did you sleep last night?
5) Do you use condoms when having sex?
