After i masturbated I had a period of shortness of breathe .
Does masturbation cause shortness of breathe ?

Masturbation does not cause shortness of breath. Shortness of breath is called dyspnea is mainly due to cardiac or pulmonary causes. Shortness of breath can be due to asthma but anxiety attacks are also known to cause breath shortness. Get a comprehensive profile of investigations done from a physician to confirm the diagnosis.

I did not see you answer before I replied .Sorry for this error. I am happy that you are to participate in this forum. I am 87 and have breathlessness problem. I was a heavy smoker and probably because of smoking I developed the problem of COPD. So my answer to the member is not very accurate.Yes I am using few breathing exercises including pursed lip breathing technique which helps. As the member has a temporary problem, I had suggested this breathing.Thank you for joining MH.

Yes it is possible. You can reduce breathlessness by practicing abdominal or deep breathing. You can also learn and practice pursed lip breathing. This method is usually prescribed by doctor.While masturbating do not stop breathing. Masturbate with lubricated hand. This will give more pleasure.You may find these breathing exercises in websites.
