Recently, while my boyfriend and I were outdoors starting a campfire, we decided to have a hot session of our own in front of the fire. What we both forgot to think about was that his hands had been in contact with gasoline just minutes before. The next morning, I woke to severe irritation and swellingof my labia. The gasoline was the only cause that I could think of. I promptly showered and also used a feminine wipe to cool the irritation. Although the swelling and irritation has subside it is still somewhat painful to the touch. The next day my boyfriend had mentioned some itching as well but to no extent was it as severe as my reaction. Despite the humilating nature of this experience, I am quite concerned with the adverse consequences of this "accident".
Agree with Annie, if the irritation persists for 3 or more day be sure to visit a doctor.
If your boyfriend has also developed it than there might be a reason to feel concerned.
Next time be careful and wash your hands before the intercourse.

I'd just be sure you did not have your hot session in or near some poison ivy. Other things can bother sensitive tissue besides gasoline.
