virginity loss

I lost my virginity two days ago. The day after there was blood. Presumably from my "cherry" popping. Today there was brown discharge, like at the end of my period. Is this normal?

Urinary tract infections don't always present with pain when peeing.

It may be your period.
Keep a written record of any periods and how you feel.
If you do not know why your periods are irregular, make an appointment to see your doctor.

If you are not eating right and may be anaemic, that can cause irregular periods.  Having polycystic ovaries can cause irregular periods or no periods.  Sometimes it is an imbalance of hormones.

Your doctor would order a blood test and probably send you for an ultrasound scan to find out if there was a problem.

At the age of 16 and especially if you periods began some years ago, they should have stabilised by now.  As they are erratic, I would suggest you make an appointment to see your doctor to find out why your periods are not regular.

Let me know how you get on.

Best wishes.

If your period is due, this is highly likely to be your period now.

Do be aware, that if you ever experience blood after having sex when your period is not due, this could be a urinary tract infection and your doctor would check your urine to confirm this and prescribe the appropriate medication to treat it.

Always go for a pee after you have had sex, even if you are not able to wash.  Make sure that you drink plenty of fluids and especially water.  2 litres (5 full large glasses) is usually recommended, but you may need to drink more if you have a urinary infection or if you are sweating and working out a lot.

If it ever hurts when you pee, that too would indicate a bladder infection.
In the UK a smear test is routinely done every 3 years for women after a certain age.

It's a test a regular Dr or a Gyn does. Plan on having a pap every year. It's womans health.

Yes. It sounds very natural.
When is your Pap smear due? You could move up the date and be checked at the same time. BTW, did the man wear protection?
