Semen leaking under condom

Hi, i had sex with my girlfriend, i withdrew to move position and she noticed semen had leaked under the base of the condom just above my testicles. i don't think any got inside her, however i did just clean the inside of her vagina with some wipes, just in case. she had been off her period for 8 days so im guessing shes not that fertile. I just wanted to know if you could give me some advice. it would be much appreciated!

I would think you are safe. Most sperm will die if exposed to the air.  The wipes probably do much good. Roll them condoms ALL THE WAY DOWN.

Hello.

A leaky condom means possibilility of pregnancy. Sperm can survive for quite some time. No one can know for sure what's happening,so unless your girlfriend used emergency contraception after this occurrence, I suggest the two of you invest in a home pregnancy kit to find out.

Always be sure to roll the condom all the way down the shaft, and HOLD ONTO IT when withdrawing. For more information about condom use, see this MedHelp information page: http://www.medhelp.org/medical-information/show/2255/Condoms

Good luck to you. Dr. J

If you do not want her to get pregnant and this just happened, please have your girl friend go to a local pharmacy, or her doctor, or local Planned Parenthood clinic and obtain the "morning after" pill.  This will insure that she will not get pregnant. They will give her a dosage that is really easy to take and she does not feel anything.  If she has a 28 day cycle, you need to count the days from the beginning of her period and not the end.  If she has a 4 or 5 day period plus 8 days since she finished, she could be fertile.  Good luck.
