Strange Symptoms

I wasn't exactly sure where to post this question because I have such a wide variety of symptoms, but I'm hoping you can help because I can't get into my dr's office for several weeks.

I've been on the birth control Implanon for about a year now. Since I've had it, i've experienced irregular, long lasting, and sometimes very heavy bleeding on a regular basis. I'm usually bleeding at least 3 weeks out of the month! The doctor told me that my body should adjust to the birth control in just a couple of months, and that my periods would stop all together, but the bleeding problems I've had make me wonder if maybe my body doesn't agree with the birth control or it just isn't working properly. Which leads me to my next question..

A little bit before Thanksgiving, I started to get really constipated, bloated, gas, and my boobs ached! I drank Milk of Magnesia for a few days and ended up having to take laxatives to get rid of the constipation and gas. The constipations and gas are under control now, but the bloating hasn't gone anywhere. My stomach is starting to pooch out (like an early pregnancy pooch), and it's became very hard. There's also been a few occasions where I've had unbearable stomach pain! These symptoms are very similar to ones I had with when I was pregant before besides the bad stomach pain, but what throws me off is that I started bleeding yesterday. I honestly felt like I was pregnant (even though I know with Implanon that it's unlikely). Could I be pregnant, but the Implanon is just causing me to bleed? Or is something else going on that's causing me to have a hard stomach and other symptoms?

Hello.

Any of these symptoms may be cause for concern--especially the bleeding. Please see your ob-gyn ASAP for a complete exam. Dr. J

i am not a doctor and am a male. but have had several girl friends (a lot)and also worked in a hospital and had many conversations about stds and do study health issues
one of my girls has bled two or three times a month on oral birth control.
the doctor said it was lack of vitamins???

i recommend stop the birth control and see the doctor. as anything we say here can not be confirmed without tests or a medical exam??
you could have an allergy to medication or some food??
other gastro intestine problems??
lack of a vitamin or mineral;
diet?
some of the girls i know do have regular spotting with birth control but non of my girls have had that severe of problems  ( i have 8 full time girl friends and we go for monthly visits to the doctor which includes birth control, std tests and etc)

Thank your for your help gradygrits.

I started a liquid diet a few days ago to hopefully get my body a little healthier. I've also started taking vitamins, so if it's a lack of vitamin problem for me also then hopefully it will help. Did it help your girlfriend with the bleeding to start taking vitamins?

My main concern is mostly the hard bloated stomach, though. It ***** to go from having a nice flat stomach to what its been here lately! Hopefully, when I go to the dr she can give me some kind of answer to what's causing this.
