MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello.

There are several possibilities, including various infections. In addition, you may have an infection of the mucus gland or an abscess.

If your leg was swollen, bruised and painful, what would you do? See a physician, right? Yet so often we avoid getting help when it involves something sexual. Realize that gynecologists have seen everything and make no judgments. If you’re old enough to be sexual, you need to take responsibility for your body, and that means getting medical help when you need it.

If you’re sure you’re not injured, then you might try icing the swelling to see if it goes down. If it doesn’t, then please schedule an exam with your gynecologist. If you don’t have one, call your local women’s clinic or Planned Parenthood.

Now is also the time to communicate with your partner about how you like to be touched. “Rough fingering” can be painful as well as dangerous, as you now know. Try showing him how you like to be touched rather than leaving him to try to figure it out on his own—unless, of course, you like being touched in a rough manner. If so, you need to take precautions so you’re not injured. Dr. J

Urinary tract infections

When the urinary tract is invaded by germs, you are likely to suffer from a urinary tract infection. An untreated urinary tract infection can infect your kidneys and cause permanent damage. Most urinary tract infections occur through the urethra, the tube that transfers urine out of the body through the bladder.

It could probably be some kind of infection and it's irritating you after sexual activity.. I would get it checked out just to make sure.
