UTI??

D_D
So, I had sex around 6 days ago and ever since I have had burning/ stinging when I urinate and occasional discomfort and itching. I also need to urinate more often than usual. The burning has worsened over the past few days. I also have lower abdominal pain and cramps. I have researched all STDs and cannot find one to match as I do not have any external obviousness like sores etc. This has never happened before though every time I have had intercourse, it has been quite painful for me.

Thankyou so much for your help. Though I cannot see a gynecologist for another week and a half as I am away on holidays

Hello.

You need to see a gynecologist ASAP to determine what's going on. No one can give you an informed opinion without a thorough exam. There are so many conditions--from urinary tract infections, to cystitis, to many others. The fact that penis-vagina sex is painful to you indicates that there's something going on, and it's important you find out what it is.

If you don't have a gynecologist, consult your local Planned Parenthood or women's clinic for low-cost or free treatment. Best of luck to you. Dr. J
