bleeding during foreplay

hi i am a sexually active 20 yr old female, i been sexually active for a few years and have had a child. a few days ago i was engaging in foreplay with my partner and he noticed his hand was covered in bright red blood, i am not due a period for a while and did not experience any pain or discomfort, i put a tampon in after as thought i had maybe come on my period early, i was so embarrassed as it had never happened before, wen i later removed the tampon there was hardly any blood on it, and i havnt had any bleeding since. do u think there is something wrong? i am using the implanon implant which i have had in for over two years with no problems or intermittent bleeding. im quite worried. do you think there is a possibility that my implant has failed to work and have fallen pregnant and am having bleeding due to imbedding of the egg? please help. thank you.

No one can tell you what's happening without a thorough examination. See your gynecologist to find out what's going on. It's possible you're just spotting, but it could also be any one of many conditions. It's always better to err on the side of caution. Dr. J

it is probably best to see your Dr at this point to make sure that everything is ok.
