Anal sex- infection? STD? help!

I have been dating my boyfriend for almost four months, and we have been having sex with each other for that amount of time, and only with each other. We are very sexually active , on average 3-5 times a week. We have both had sex with a few other people before, and there were a few instances where I failed to use protection (with other people) and i'm sure that is the same for him. But i have been screened for common STDs before dating him, and I was fine.
My boyfriend and i don't used condoms with each other (I am on birth control.)

Since having sex with him (oral and vaginal), I have never had a a symptom of anything aside from the occasional thicker discharge, but it did not smell so I assumed it was fine.

Last night, my boyfriend and I decided to try anal sex for the first time after having vaginal sex. We used a condom at first (mostly for lube) but took it off after it broke, and continued with out it. Later that night we had vaginal sex again (no condom) and i didn't think to have him clean himself, we were both intoxicated.
This morning, my vagina is fine and does not seem to be abnormal in any way.

But, I farted (sorry for lack of a better term)  and it was sort of wet, so I went to the toilet. I had discharge in my underwear, and it was not fecal. It was mostly clear, sort of gooey, and slightly yellowy. It also had a horrbile odor, it smelled almost fishy - not  at all like fecal matter.
I am so worried that it is some kind of infection - maybe even an STD that only showed up anally because of the bacteria?? I don't know if this is possible, I haven't called a doctor about it yet or talk to anyone because i'm mortified.

I have tried to research it , but everything I have found on the internet was about anal-to-vaginal infections, not vaginal-to-anal sex. Please help.

Hi Mallory.

First thing to remember is never put anything in your vagina that's been in your anus. The reason for this because the bacteria that live in your anus can be harmful to those that live in your vagina and protect you from infection.

Most likely, the fluid you discovered was simply left-over semen (another reason to always use a condom!) mixed with other byproducts. However, if you're still finding fluid or having any symptoms after a couple of days, I encourage you to see your gynecologist. And please don't be "mortified." Anything worth doing is worth doing well, and if you're going to be sexual, you need to take responsibility for your sexual health. All gynecologists are trained to be comfortable and accepting of sexual behavior, so no one is going to be shocked or upset if you've had anal sex. Best of luck to you. Dr. J

probably urine, fecal matter, and vaginal fluids mix up.  It's a little early to find out if you have a infection for anal sex.  But what did you learn about anal sex? Was it worth it?
