Hello.
You need some accurate information. First of all, prior to ejaculation, your body releases a fluid (pre-come) in order to clean out the urethra. This fluid may contain millions of sperm left over from a previous ejaculation (sperm can live quite a long time!). So many people become pregnant when using the withdrawal method that we sexologists have a special name for them: parents.
The short answer is that you can’t trust the circumstances, so you have to take control and assure safety by using effective risk reduction to reduce your risk of both pregnancy and disease or infection. Here's a way to have fun AND take responsibilty: go to your local Planned Parenthood or teen clinic. There, the two of you can learn about various birth contro/risk reducation options, receive free samples for testing and decide what works best for you. Best of luck. Dr. J
I can't take birth control pills. They make my hormones all crazy and I get really bad headaches... So, I have been with one guy for 8 years and we very rarely use condoms. We use the pull out method. I know we are able to have kids, because we have one already. She was planned with no pulling out or protection. Since her we have used the pull out method. I say it's very slim, but it is much higher of a chance she can get pregnant from no protection than with protection. If you're worried about it now, then maybe you need to start wrapping it before you tap it, everytime. Also, it kind of irritates me that men do the deed then worry that it was a wrong thing afterwards. If you aren't ready for a baby then wrap it EVERYTIME! If you aren't ready for a commitment then wrap it EVERYTIME! If you don't plan on being with that woman forever then wrap it EVERYTIME!!!! I'm sorry, but men use their penises to think when it comes to sex. My husband and I only use the pull out method, because we know we will be together for a very long time. It's more of a whatever happens, happens. We would love to have another baby, but we don't want to make that kind of commitment right now while we're trying to get a new house. What I'm trying to say is if you aren't ready for a marriage commitment or a baby then you seriously need to wrap that thing up man. No matter what the issue is. If you have no condoms wait until you get some. If you don't have the money for condoms then you definitely won't have money for a baby.
