More about shingles?

This is Maureen again, just asked another shingles question.
I have had genital herpes for many years and often get such pain in my buttocks it is impossible to sit down in any position anywhere. It gets such agony I end up going to bed in tears. My chiro made it go away for a while, but it is now back again and I think it may well be something to do with the shingles? I have been told I have on my arm. Docs. don't agree with the idea of having such bad buttock pain with genital herpes. I do. Anyone know about this and think there is a connection between buttock pain and shingles on palm/arm?

The shingles virus can damage nerves and that pain can be long term- is it a muscle pain that you are feeling or is it different?  What did the Chiropractor do that seemed to help?
