I think my cold has turned in to a sinus infection, based on numerous past experiences. I went in to the clinic and ended up seeing the doctor which, I will admit, I have not been pleased with in the past due to their lack of follow up. However, they were the only one available. I went through my symptoms which included nasty pain in the sinus cavities on the right side of my face. They checked my throat, my ears, and my lungs. They said my lungs were fine but no comment on my ears or throat. They then tell me that they think I have a sinus infection and prescribed an antibiotic.
Is it just me or shouldn't they have looked up my nose at some point during the exam? There was also no comment about my blood pressure being higher than normal at 134/90.
I kept thinking that, at any moment, they are going to realize they should look up my nose. They talked for maybe another minute and then just went out the door.
I'm just not feeling too warm and fuzzy about the visit. Is there a reason not to check my sinuses?
Thanks
