Best Treatment for Pre-Cancers Lesions

I just come from the dermatologist who diagnosed pre-cancer on my face in several spots.  He prescribed 3 options for treatment, and I was hoping to get some feedback on peoples experience with the various treatment types, and maybe some suggestions or preferences for which are preferred.

The treatments he suggested:

1.  Topical cream

2.  Photo reactive

3. Laser

I'm sure they all have they plusses and minuses, but can anyone give me a picture of how different the recovery can be?  How bad is the redness from cream?  Is recovery from laser treatment quicker and less painful?

Thanks in advance
