Not sure, but I believe I have the same thing you do...I was hoping to find something on this website regarding this.

My scalp has a scaly patch that I find I 'pick' at when it itches.  I have lost hair in the area, but have stubles that could grow back if they weren't being broken off during the 'itching'.  I've had this area on my scalp for a very long time.  My dermatologist said it was Lichen planus Simplex (?) A stress related thing....

I would appreciate feedback if someone has some insight as to what this may be......

Thank you.........

A dermatologist will biopsy it. There really isn't too much I can see from the picture but biopsies are foolproof, don't  mess around with that, get it checked out. Good Luck

You should see a dermatologist ASAP.  Something like that could be bad you should get it checked out.  The dermatologist will tell you what it is and help you get rid of it.

There are many things this could be, perhaps psorasis, but you do need to see a doctor.
