Hi, I have the same problem on my nose and have gone to 7 dermatologist, 2 general practioners, and 2 ENTs who all had no idea what was going on. I finally committed to research on my own and forwarded information to a doctor I am seeing now. I've done all the topical solutions including the Retin-A (which does not work) and I'm not keen on taking a lot of medications but tried a few. Nothing worked! What I did find that worked was extraction. Yes! After one doctor performed a biopsy on one under my nose close to the crease I found that two weeks later the lesion was gone.
I then took this information to another dermapathologist along with more research on what had worked for someone else which was cryotherapy, freezing the membrane. That didn't work either so now that the cryotherapy did not work under the direction of the doctor I told her that the next step will be extraction. I have it bad on the right side of my nose with multiple lesions so it may require minor nose facial reconstruction which the doctor recommends.
I know your grief, I am confronted all the time with "what's that on your nose?" It can be embarrassing. Good luck!
I hope this helps.
Hi, I did a few searches on this uncommon condition and see that cancer can form inside one of the lesions. I'm not familiar with the condition .. maybe others may be, or try the dermatology expert community, too as an idea.
