Thank you for your reply. Yes I would like to consult his gp at the very least to have a chat about it. Do you know What kind of treatments are there for sleep walking? The thought of medication seems daunting.
Hello,
Sleepwalking or somnambulism occurs more frequently in identical twins, and is 10 times more likely to occur if a first-degree relative has a history of sleepwalking. Therefore, it is thought the condition can be inherited.
You should get your husband evaluated and he should start the treatment of sleepwalking.
It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
Yes, we've actually had a summer that's lasted over a month instead of an odd three days. It's been lovely. a bit hard since it's unusual but my partner hasn't enjoyed it at all. He's happy in t-shirts outside when everybody else is in coats and scarfs. Investing in a fan is cirtainly a good idea and worth a try. You are right about the goverment but my concern right now is a fan won't stop him completely due to the times when stress will hit. So I'm still worried about the baby.
You mention the heat, I believe I've heard Europe is having unusual hot weather. Can you get a window air conditioner for your bedroom? If that stops the sleep walking it could be well worth the cost to purchase and operate. I also understand electricity cost more in Europe than in the USA, if that's possible, Our current federal government seems bent on making our cost higher so they can fly around in big jet aircraft while the rest of us lower or carbon dioxied output by sweating rather than using air conditioners.
