PSG/ MSLT what does it all mean?

Hello,  I recently had a sleep study done. I would like to know what it all means. I would be sincerely grateful if anyone out here can break it down for me. I am plagued with a voracious curiosity................Thanks :-)

PSG
Sleep Latency 3 Minute
REM 410 Minute
Stage  I 14%
Stage II 69%
Stage III 12%
REM remainder %

2 hypopneas no apneas index was 0.3;  I had 3 limb movements and 106 spontaneous awakenings.

MSLT
Sleep Latency
Nap 1 = 14 seconds
Nap 2= 22 second
Nap 3 =30 second
Nap 4= 16 second
No REM in any of the 4  naps ............ During my supposed to be awake time I got caught sleeping 2 times.

Hello and hope you are doing well.

There is more of REM sleep in your nighttime sleep study; hence the doctors have tried to rule out narcolepsy, which causes excessive sleepiness. Narcolepsy is characterized by excessive day time sleepiness, sleep paralysis, cataplexy where the person has episodes of loss of muscle function while awake, hypnogogic hallucinations and automatic behavior.

Narcolepsy is diagnosed by the sleep onset REM episodes (SOREMs), wherein the person goes into the dream phase or REM cycle soon after sleep onset. This is evident in the Multiple Sleep Latency Test (MSLT). But there are no REM episodes in your MSLT ruling out the possibility of Narcolepsy.
