PVC's/excess leg movements on sleep study

I recently had a sleep study with no apnea episodes noted. There were finding of excessive leg movements and 175 PVC's. What does this mean? Should I be worried?

Were those excessive leg movements diagnosed as Periodic Limb Movement Disorder? How many of the movements caused arousals, interfering with your sleep? If this is the case, it may be that you will need treatment, and should evaluate the options before making a decision. Not sure if your sleep studies were simply because your sleep is poor, or if you are symptomatic for sleep apnea also. My first few studies showed only limb movements until they responded to treatment, then the sleep apnea showed up (though it had always been there, just couldn't catch it). I used to have PVCs, which seem to not be unusual with sleep apnea. My guess is you're going to need a bit more evaluating.

PVC's are common, these are premature ventricular complexes.  Sometimes they are due to caffine or smoking.  I would suggest talking this over with a MD, they could possibly want you to have a Echocardiogram done, which is a ultrasound of your heart, just to check for an underlining reason for the PVC's.  As for you leg movements, this is normal also.  Some people experience this due to restless leg syndrome.  Which ever MD ordered your sleep study is going to look at these results, they will normally explain these reading to you and have further testing done. You have probably have had these things going on for a long time, no need to worry, this doesnt help one thing... Pray ...then speak to your MD about the results.
